At Humble Warrior, we are wholeheartedly committed to honouring human skill and artistry, both as a means of reducing our ecological impact and achieving precision within our garments.
We truly consider the environment at every stage of our process. All elements of our apparel, from their custom prints to the way in which they come to life, are inspired by nature and implemented by human hands. Our design process is an homage to India’s rich history and utilises artistic, traditional textile techniques.
Our design journey begins in the heart of Vienna, Austria where our founder, Loraine thoughtfully hand sketches her prints. These prints, all of which have been inspired by nature, are then digitised and sent to skilled artisans in her homeland of India. There, through processes steeped in tradition, our wooden printing blocks are intricately carved and prepared for printing – a separate block created for every colour within the design.
Each block is then dipped by hand into eco-friendly dye and expertly stamped onto the fabric by the gentle yet firm force of one individual, thus bringing our vibrant designs to life.
In addition to paying tribute to our founder’s ancestry, this method both observes the guidelines of slow fashion and ensures the highest quality in each garment. We produce in small batches and strive to keep wastage to a minimum.
As we believe that nothing should stand between our customer and mother nature, all Humble Warrior garments are made of certified sustainably sourced natural fibres. We produce in small batches and strive to keep wastage to a minimum.
All our garments are hand sewn in Europe by other small businesses with the goal of providing peace, precision and upliftment to not just our customers, but every person within our supply chain.
